Merce Technologies Pvt Ltd, incorporated in India in Feb 2000, has, via an official application with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, changed their name to Remiges Technologies Pvt Ltd. This change has been certified and taken on record on 17 Aug 2023. All earlier details of the company, including but not limited to corporate structures, relationships, agreements, registered office address, constitution of Board of Directors, leadership team, remain unchanged.
Our corporate Internet domain was earlier merce.co. We have shifted operations to a new domain, remiges.tech. All email addresses of the form user.name@merce.co will now continue to work, and will deliver messages to newly renamed mailboxes of the form user.name@remiges.tech. We will keep the older domain for at least the next ten years.
The change of name was felt necessary because of a set of deep-seated changes which were impacting all internal aspects of our business, including our identity. Remiges (Merce) remains a software projects company, but our view of our place in the community of software projects companies has evolved.
The word “remiges” refers to the flight feathers of birds. These include the wing and tail feathers. We feel that this is a very suitable name for how we see ourselves today and how we hope to take Remiges forward. We also feel that our clients will build and grow their businesses using our thought, talent, and technology, the way a bird flies using its flight feathers.
